Teva pharmaceuticals has issued a voluntary recall of one lot of its reflux medication after discovering that bottles contained tablets of a drug used to treat fluid retention. The recall affects lot No. 5420094 of 10 mg metoclopramide tablets in 100-count bottles after three sealed bottles were found to each contain a 20 mg torsemide tablet, a diuretic used to treat edema caused by heart, liver or kidney conditions, according to an FDA enforcement report issued June 20.
